Individualized Learning at a Leading Research Institution
We feature a graduate curriculum that balances fundamental knowledge of neuroscience with specialized elective coursework. Students explore the breadth of the field through lectures and seminars, while interactive journal clubs sharpen their ability to critically analyze and present published research. Activities and events bring the broader neuroscience community together, offering students ample opportunities to connect, network, and socialize.
MS in Neuroscience
The Graduate School requires a minimum of 30 credit hours for completion of the Master’s degree. The INP requires a certain number of these courses to be at the 8000 level or above (excluding thesis research).
PhD in Neuroscience
The Graduate School requires a minimum of 72 credit hours for completion of the Doctoral degree. The INP requires a certain number of these courses to be at the 8000 level or above (excluding dissertation research).
Graduate Certificate
The INP requires a minimum of 12 credit hours in neuroscience courses for completion of a Graduate Certificate in Neuroscience. Open only to current MU post-bacc and graduate students.
